How the Daily Challenge Works

Each calendar day produces one deal for Klondike, Spider (2 suits), FreeCell, Pyramid and TriPeaks. The deal is calculated from the date itself, so anyone who opens the challenge on the same date gets exactly the same cards, and the same date always gives the same deal. The deal number is shown on the table, which makes it easy to compare notes with a friend or replay a deal later.
- New deals at midnight on your device’s calendar date.
- Your progress is private. Solved challenges, times, move counts and streaks are saved in your browser only. There are no accounts and no public leaderboard.
- Unlimited undo and hints are allowed. Restart the deal as often as you like.
- Play the archive. Missed a day? Every deal from the last two weeks is listed above.
Tips for Solving the Daily Deal
- Start with FreeCell if you want a guaranteed-winnable deal to keep your streak alive; every card is visible, so it is pure planning.
- In Klondike, focus on turning over face-down cards in the longest columns and don’t empty a column unless a King is ready. See the Klondike strategy guide.
- In Spider, build in suit whenever you can and try to free a column before each deal from the stock. More in our Spider suits guide.
- In Pyramid, remember the magic number is 13, and choose pairs that uncover the most cards.
- In TriPeaks, trace the longest chain of up-and-down plays before you start, and keep the three peaks even.
- Use Restart Deal rather than New Game if a daily deal goes wrong: New Game leaves the challenge.

When does the daily solitaire challenge change?
At midnight on your device's own calendar date. Everyone who plays on the same date gets the same deal numbers, so you can compare results with friends; the deal number is shown on each card and on the table.
Can I play yesterday's challenge or an older one?
Yes. The archive below lists the deals of the last 14 days for all five games. Click any deal to play it. Wins on past days are recorded on their own date.
Why did my daily challenge streak or history disappear?
Your streak and solved challenges are stored only in your browser's local storage on this device. Clearing browsing data, using a private window, or switching to another browser or device starts a fresh history. There are no accounts, so nothing is kept on our servers.
How is the daily streak counted?
Your streak is the number of consecutive days, up to today, on which you solved at least one daily challenge. If you have not played yet today, a streak that ran until yesterday is still shown.
Is there a solution for today's challenge?
We don't publish step-by-step solutions, but every game has a Hint button, unlimited Undo and a Restart Deal button. The FreeCell daily deal always comes from the classic numbered deals that are known to be winnable.
Are daily challenges winnable?
The FreeCell challenge always is. Klondike, Spider, Pyramid and TriPeaks deals are chosen by the date, not by a solver, so on some days a deal may be very hard or impossible. If you get stuck, try a different game for your streak.
